High-level Ministerial Meeting on South-South Cooperation in Green Economy for Agricultural Development and Enhanced Food Security

DUBAI, U.A.E. – The High-level Ministerial Meeting resulted in the establishment of an action-oriented platform for future collaboration for countries participating in the SSTC-ADFS partnership initiative, as well as other interested countries within the partnership focused on South-South Cooperation in Green Economy for Agricultural Development and Enhanced Food Security. It was expected that a series of practical activities will be implemented as a follow up to the Meeting, which will focus on green economy in agricultural development within the context of sustainable development and poverty eradication, aimed at sustaining economic growth, enhancing social inclusion, improving human welfare, and creating employment opportunities in the agricultural sector within the participating countries.

SESSION 1: OUTCOMES OF THE INITIATIVE ON SOUTH-SOUTH & TRIANGULAR COOPERATION FOR AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT AND ENHANCED FOOD SECURITY
