
Astana, Kazakhstan, 15 June – Key policy-makers and development professionals working in the Middle East and North Africa as well as Europe and Central Asia will explore together the exchange of resources, technology, and knowledge among countries of the Global South and their role in promoting green economies.
Participants will present a number of existing mechanisms for South-South Cooperation and take a closer look at the role of private sector institutions and developed economies in advancing the Green Economy agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Forum will serve as a platform for networking on possible specific South-South expert exchange initiatives among the participating member states. The first regional report on South-South and Triangular Cooperation in Achieving Sustainable Human Development in Europe and the CIS will be launched during the event.
