The SNIT – Système national d’identification et traçabilité animales – is a tool for the management of animal diseases and food safety traceability. Through the use of electronic chips that use radio frequencies, it allows tracing the history of each animal including movements and events throughout its life. By integrating this identification formula, Morocco is now aligned with international standards and is effectively improving the health program management and production performance control of animal livestock.
