UNOSSC supports South-South training in Uzbekistan for rural locals to diversify their incomes

10-19 February 2018, Tashkent. From Hungarian felting traditions to weaving on muffs and sacks with pitted kilims technique in Mid and Inner Asia, a South-South training on “Support in Developing Capacities of Rural Women and Men in Uzbekistan to Diversify their Incomes through Knowledge and Skills” was delivered for trainers. It was jointly organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources of Uzbekistan, the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Uzbekistan, and United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation with the involvement of Hungarian Folk Artists Association. The demand-driven support from UNOSSC has been provided within the implementation of the SSTC-ADFS initiative.
